My only complaint is that this place is only open to tourists during the long university holidays. The accommodation is above par along with everything else here. Breakfast was filling, parking easy and the relaxing atmosphere was perfect for a stay in this friendly city. All Hallows is only a short distance into Dublin city by public transport
Very peaceful place. Modern accommodation in what was a seminary. Irish breakfast leaves no room for lunch. Pubs are just around the corner in shopping street. I would come back here for sure as it is affordable. Great value for what you get. Full marks!
Founded in 1842 by Fr John Hand, All Hallows has a rich history in educating priests for work in foreign missions. However, the seminary closed in 2008 and All Hallows was merged into Dublin City University, which continues the tradition of Catholic education. In 2014 the building was substantially restored and the guest rooms were updated to a high standard. In the months of June, July and August, All Hallows offers quality accommodation in modern guest rooms to tourists and visitors to Dublin.
The historic building lies in peaceful grounds on a vast estate ,just a 30 minute walk to the heart of the city. Alternatively, the city bus stops outside the property. The pubs, shops and cafes in Drumcondra village can be easily reached on foot.
On-site laundry facilities and guest parking are an added bonus. All Hallows represents good value for money considering the cost of hotel accommodation in Dublin.
